This uplighting of the Market Street palm trees has been a dream of residents, merchants, and visitors for decades and the CBD, working with the City, has made this dream a reality! The CBD agreed to pay for the ongoing electricity, and the city paid for the installation of all the infrastructure. So, we are turning to you, members of the community, to help us make the Castro & Upper Market shine and keep the palm trees lit.

The palm trees on Market Street are lit with LED Lights. This lighting is a powerful contribution to our Upper Market corridor. White lights during the year, changing to rainbow for PRIDE, orange for Halloween, red and green for the holidays and other colors in between! Your sponsorship or donation will help keep the lights on. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent as allowed by law.
